Dream Spirits is Prav Saraff's own label. Saraff owns a liquor store at Dupont Circle in Washington, DC, and buys barrels from brokers by taste, not by producer. They rest in his warehouse until he calls them ready, then go out a barrel or a batch at a time, usually at cask strength.
Bourbon Culture traces his bourbon to Jim Beam and MGP, his rye to MGP in Indiana. It puts recent releases at 8 to 10 years, 105 to 115 proof. That is old whiskey at full strength, picked by a retailer who then has to sell it. Buy it for age and proof without a famous label.
