Silk Velvet

Silk Velvet goes back to Henderson, Kentucky in 1880. The Hargis family revived the name with eighth-generation master distiller Jacob Call at Western Kentucky Distilling Co. in Beaver Dam.

These are our own single barrels, bottled for Whiskey Library under a custom Silk Velvet label. Each is a seven-year-old sour mash bourbon from 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, bottled at barrel proof, well above Silk Velvet's standard 107-proof single barrel. Expect honey, vanilla, caramel and ripe orchard fruit over #4 charred oak.
