The brand story
Knob Creek
Booker Noe created Knob Creek in 1992 as part of Jim Beam's Small Batch Collection, alongside Booker's, Baker's and Basil Hayden. It takes its name from Knob Creek Farm.
The whole argument is age at proof. Nine years in the Clermont warehouses, bottled at 100 proof, which is a lot of wood and a lot of strength for the money. Beam pulled the nine year statement in 2016 when stocks ran short and put it back in 2020, which tells you what they think the brand rests on. Single Barrel Reserve takes the same whiskey to 120 proof.
