Troy Bolotnick and Charlie Flint founded Filmland Spirits in California, and the first bottles landed in 2022. They source whiskey, then age and blend it in Kentucky. Breaking Bourbon calls it some of the best bottle and label designs in the business.
Every release is a B-movie that was never made. The front label is the poster, the back carries the synopsis and cast, and the website holds script excerpts, storyboards and an animated trailer. Ryes of the Robots is 95 percent rye at 94 proof, so it lands dry and peppery rather than sweet. The Extended Cut is that same rye uncut at 108.
