Not the greatest.

Received Doc Holliday 8 year and Old Dominick this month.
Old Dom was good. I wouldn't call it great... but good. Nice smooth drink from nose to mouth to finish. Nothing exceptional, but a decent pour and for the $60... was reasonable-ish.

However, the Doc Holliday 8 year at $120... fell short. Pleasant nose and smooth mouth... the finish was just hot/pepper and way too spicy. In fact, is about the only thing I remember was the finish because it was so overpowering, hot, and unpleasant... and it was lower proof than the OldDom. Tbh I had suspected that the bottle would be greater than the sauce which was why I haven't purchased at the liquor store. At $120, and even in a "cool" bottle, it was not worth it to me. The DocHoll will just sit in the cabinet probably. May use it as a mixing bottle or save it for the unsuspecting.

Hopefully next month's selections will be better. If not, then I'll likely have to reconsider the cost of membership.

Very unique collection

my first box had 5 bottles in it, i must say.. that 15 Start Three Ports was outstanding! There was only one i didn't care too much for (Couture Collection 10 year from World Whiskey Society). The others were great! In all i received Neeley Small Batch 5 year, Barrell Bourbon: Tale of two Islands, Couture Collection 10 year, 15 starts three ports, Breckenridge High Proof Blend.

I can't wait to receive my next shipment.

Ok but not what I expectsd

Received an old Dominick not the moonlight mayhem. Old dom is pretty hot being a cask strength. Will need to add a bit of water to temper that one. Doc Holliday is pretty good but I would not pay 120 for another bottle.

I received two bottles. Only opened one, the Dream Spirits 10 y/o is one of the worst I’ve ever received.

Really enjoyed both of these bourbons. They hit my typical preferred profile. So my 4 stars is for the bourbon. My complaint this time is the packaging. The inside protective cardboard liners had completely disintegrated leaving the bottles clinking inside. The bottle of Lost whiskey club Single Barrell had a leather strap over the neck that was missing the brass snaps and the label had been partially scraped off, but the label pieces or brass snaps were not the in the box which leads me to believe it was shipped that way. The outer box with the shipping label was in good condition. Compared to previous shipments this was surprising.
