Jefferson's Reserve Twin Oak is a distinctive Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that showcases the brand's innovative approach to aging. In collaboration with the Independent Stave Company, Jefferson's developed a custom-designed "wave barrel" featuring toasted, grooved staves. This unique design increases the surface area inside the barrel, allowing more bourbon to come into contact with the oak, thereby enhancing the flavor profile. The bourbon is aged for 10 years and then finished for an additional four months in these specially crafted barrels. Bottled at 90.2 proof (45.1% ABV), it is non-chill filtered and free from artificial coloring. The nose is rich with aromas of vanilla and butterscotch, layered over a cinnamon apple tart. On the palate, it presents classic baking spices upfront, followed by notes of roasted almonds, sweet bell pepper, fresh wood, and a hint of apple. The finish is medium in length, leaving a lingering spice. The bottle features a sleek design that reflects Jefferson's commitment to quality and innovation.
