About the Product: Frey Ranch's Malted Grain Series Quad Malt Bourbon features the same mashbill as the distillery's flagship four-grain straight bourbon — non-GMO corn, winter rye, winter wheat, and two-row barley — but with a twist: all four grains are malted prior to fermentation, not just the barley. To accomplish this, co-founder Colby Frey malted each grain on-site using his custom-built malt drum — a process that unlocks deeper, more complex flavor compounds from every grain in the mash before a single drop of spirit is made. The result is a whiskey with big, fruity flavors up front that morph into candy corn and malted chocolate — a genuinely different expression from the flagship, and one of the most technically ambitious releases in the Frey Ranch lineup. Barrel #3044 brings that same Quad Malt character to a single barrel format, uncut and unfiltered.

About Frey Ranch Distillery: Frey Ranch is one of the rarest things in American whiskey: a true estate distillery. Founded in 2006 by husband-and-wife duo Colby and Ashley Frey on their family's farm in Fallon, Nevada, the distillery sits on land the Frey family has farmed continuously since 1854 — a decade before Nevada was even a state. Every grain in every bottle is grown, malted, mashed, distilled, aged, and bottled on the same 2,500-acre property, making their "Ground-to-Glass" promise literal rather than marketing. Master Distiller Russell Wedlake works alongside Colby to oversee every stage of production, while Nevada's extreme desert climate — scorching summers, frigid winters — accelerates maturation and puts a distinct regional stamp on the whiskey. Named Spirits Brand of the Year by VinePair in 2023, Frey Ranch has become one of the top-selling ultra-premium bourbons in the United States.
