The brand draws its name and rebellious spirit from the Belmont Hotel, a now-shuttered Dallas landmark once frequented by artists, musicians, and rock-and-roll wanderers — think a Texas answer to LA's Chateau Marmont. Rather than leaning on the well-worn tropes of prohibition or the Old West, Lasso Motel built its identity around that lived-in, late-night hotel energy, packaging every release in a heavy-grade glass decanter with a distinctive paperweight cork.

Darts continues that theme in a new direction: where most "smoking blend" whiskeys are built to pair with cigars, this one was made with cigarettes in mind — grittier, more dive-bar than country club. Distilled at Green River Distilling Co. in Kentucky and finished across a trio of Armagnac, Sherry, and Cognac casks, it layers leather and tobacco-adjacent smokiness over a sweeter core of toffee, dried fig, and apricot.
