Sagamore Spirit is a Baltimore distillery founded by Kevin Plank (better known as Under Armour's CEO), built with a mission to put Maryland back on the map as America's premier rye whiskey producer — a title the state held before Prohibition-era distilleries converted to ethanol production during WWII and never returned. The distillery draws its proofing water from a natural spring house built in 1909 on Sagamore Farm, the same limestone-filtered water that's fed the farm's champion thoroughbred horses for generations.

Signature Rye is Sagamore's flagship expression, a blend of two straight rye mash bills — a high-rye recipe contributing cinnamon and clove spice, and a low-rye recipe bringing caramel, honey, and citrus peel — aged 4 to 6 years in high-char American oak and cut with that historic spring water for a smooth, approachable pour that's become the brand's calling card.
