Bill Binder founded Binder's Stash as an independent bottler, choosing single barrels and printing the barrel number and proof on the label.
In June 2025 Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, made Binder's Stash its first long-term brand partner. Willett has been family owned and independent since 1936, so the deal opens its experimental mash bills and older barrels to an outside brand for the first time. One wheated Willett barrel, number 745, came out at 9 years and 126.8 proof. Indiana ryes have shipped at 10 years and older, most near barrel strength. Each barrel is bottled once, so the release you want is the one still on the shelf.
