Back in March, we gathered fifteen ten-year barrels and ran them through a blind tasting with Anthony Riccardi (The Bourbon Whiskey Library), Mike (The Whiskey Fly), and Matt (The Bourbon Apprentice). One pour—Barrel #416—rose above the rest. Its 62.5 % cask strength drank like silk; the sweetness sat in a perfect “just-right” pocket, and the nose carried farther than any of its rivals. We knew we’d found Doc Holliday’s next legend.

Ten quiet years and one rickhouse stall later, that same whiskey stands unchanged—no blending, no second chances—bottled straight from the oak that raised it. Only about 175 bottles exist, each bearing the classic mash bill of 78 % corn, 13 % rye, and 9 % malted barley that gives Kentucky bourbon its honeyed depth and rye-tinged spark.
