Nose: ripe blackberry, black plum, violet, and cocoa with a hint of cedar. Palate: medium-to-full bodied and polished—dark berry compote, cherry, and mocha over fine, chalky tannins and fresh mountain acidity. Finish: long and savory, echoing plum, dark chocolate, and a stony mineral lift. From the Cuvelier family (owners of Bordeaux’s Léoville-Poyferré), this Malbec marries Argentine intensity with Old World finesse.
