Poças Reserva Douro 2016 750ml is a schist-driven Portuguese red blend (Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz) that delivers depth with Douro Valley polish. The nose opens with blackberry, black plum, and violet over cedar, cocoa, and a touch of dried herb. On the palate it’s medium-to-full bodied and structured—ripe dark berries, cherry liqueur, and warm spice framed by fine, graphite-tinged tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is long and savory, echoing cocoa, pepper, and stony minerality. From Poças (est. 1918), a historic Douro/Port house, this Reserva spotlights old-vine fruit, careful oak, and terroir fidelity.
