Disappointed to start…

I just opened the bottle of 15 stars platinum. A bottle that is supposed to retail for 279, honestly I would be dissatisfied if I spent 80$ on it. It’s a blend of older bourbons, i have never heard of it before, eager to try it, it’s the first bottle I’m trying from this months shipment. My first impression on the nose was that it seemed like a much higher proof than just the 98.. however after tasting I see why. It has the typical bourbon notes of vanilla, oak, spice, etc however they are all hidden behind an overwhelming note of acetone. My wife wouldn’t even try since she said it smelled too much like her nail polish remover. I know that the bottle will change as it’s open but right off the bat I’m pretty disappointed, I will try the whiskey again in a few days and if my thoughts change I’ll update the review.

Enjoyable except 1

First West and Moonlight Mayhem we very enjoyable to sip. Unfortunately I did not deal the same way for the Rough Rider 8 year.

First Mystery Box Tasting

Stellum was our favorite and it didn’t last the evening. Doc Holiday was second and had a nice lingering spice on the palate. 15 Stars was a nice blend and just okay. Rough Rider was a little too strong for my taste just okay, but wouldn’t buy another one. Looking forward to our next box. Very interested in wheated and wheat whiskeys. Hoping to see some in the next box.

2. Promotion Period. Begins 12:00 a.m. ET on Monday, June 15, 2026 and ends 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, June 22, 2026. Entries received outside this period are not eligible.

3. Eligibility. Open only to legal residents of the United States who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. Residents of states where Sponsor cannot legally ship alcohol are not eligible to receive the prize as shipped (see Section 7). Employees of Sponsor, its affiliates and agencies, and their immediate households are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

4. How to Enter. There are two ways to enter, with equal odds regardless of method. 5. Prize. One (1) winner receives one (1) 750ml bottle of Eagle Rare 17 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The prize is non-transferable with no cash substitution, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

6. Winner Selection & Notification. One potential winner is selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries on or about Friday, July 3, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The potential winner is notified privately by email; no public announcement is made without the winner’s consent. The potential winner must respond and verify eligibility (including proof of age) within 72 hours of notification, or an alternate winner may be selected.

7. Prize Delivery & Alcohol Compliance. Fulfillment is subject to applicable federal and state alcohol laws. The prize ships only to a U.S. address in a state where Sponsor (or its licensed fulfillment partner) may lawfully ship alcoholic beverages. An adult 21 or older with valid government-issued photo identification must sign for delivery. If the winner resides in a state where shipment is not permitted, Sponsor will work with the winner on a lawful alternative; if none is available, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.

8. General Conditions. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and by Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding. Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or violates these Terms. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion if fraud, technical failure, or any factor beyond its reasonable control impairs its integrity. Cancelling a subscription before the end of the Promotion Period does not retroactively void a subscriber entry already earned.

9. Release of Liability. By entering, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Promotion or receipt or use of the prize, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Privacy. Information submitted with an entry is used to administer the Promotion in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. The winner’s identity will not be publicly disclosed without consent.

11. Disputes & Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes are resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York.

12. Winner List. To request confirmation that a winner was selected, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the mail-in address in Section 4 within 60 days of the end of the Promotion Period.
