Eight years old. Haystack Needle is a grain-to-glass Redwood Empire bourbon that captures their Sonoma distillery's house style at full intensity. Founded in 2015, Redwood Empire makes just four barrels a day, led by Master Distiller Jeff Duckhorn, drawing water from the Russian River aquifer and aging in new American oak with a level 3 char. The mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, 5% wheat and 5% barley delivers sweet corn depth framed by lively rye spice and a creamy wheat undertone. Bottled at cask strength, it brings concentrated flavor from eight years in new Quercus alba. Collectors chase Haystack Needle because every barrel is different and never to be repeated.
