proof-wood-the-cabinet-barrel-proof-750ml
Proof & Wood The Cabinet 2023 Barrel Proof 750ml
Barrel Proof at 112.52 (56.26% ABV), The Cabinet is a 2023-bottled blend of straight American rye and bourbon built from 5–9 year barrels. The recipe is explicit: multiple vintages of 95% rye/5% malted barley from 2014–2017 married with two bourbons—99% corn/1% barley (2016) and 75% corn/21% rye/4% barley (2017)—all from Lawrenceburg, IN. Proof & Wood’s DC Collection is known for transparently curating standout barrels, and this release leans on high-rye intensity balanced by rich corn sweetness. At barrel proof you get undiluted character—bigger spice, deeper oak, and a true blend-of-straights profile that isn’t replicated year to year. Expect a rye-driven nose and finish with bourbon’s caramel core, concentrated by years in American oak. Limited by vintage components and bottled once for 2023, it’s a smart pickup for collectors who value detailed provenance and full-flavor strength.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0675/5038/0227/files/studio_e4815377-bb2f-4804-91dd-d2010356d341.png?v=1791487990
